1:1 Workshop - Floristry

This workshop is tailored to your needs and is best suited for those who:
  • are growing cut flowers for selling and are looking to develop their Floristry skills
  • have a passion for flowers looking to follow a career into Floristry with confidence
  • started in business but wish to develop their skills and knowledge within a specific area
Typical classes have covered: designing with cut flowers for selling in jars, jugs and vases, presenting and pricing gift bouquets, completing Eco funeral design, designing for weddings (bouquet, buttonholes or table centres).

A little about me!
My 1:1 workshops utilise my professional lecturing skills and knowledge to deliver outstanding teaching ensuring you feel confident in your own learning.

As a ‘Horti-Florist’ I combine my passion for working with seasonal garden flowers as a qualified Horticulturist and Florist. If natural styling, using sustainable mechanics and flowers from the right seasons is your style then were on the same page!

  • Absolutely, if you’re looking to invest in yourself to learn the skill set required in Floristry. Remember we all start somewhere "we plant a little seed and with the right care it blooms"!
Whats included:
  • 30 minute planning session (on zoom) to find out where you are on this journey and how I can support you to the next stage with success!
  • A beautiful selection of flowers and foliage based on our discussions, pre-conditioned and arranged for a day of designing. All flowers are yours to take home!
  • Details of the flower types and a discussion of their selection to support your knowledge in ordering and the design process.
  • All tools and materials required for the day.
  • 45 minutes business lunch to evaluate the morning and to consolidate your learning
  • A full day (10.00-4.30) of private tuition covering knowledge and skills personal to you.
  • We’ll take photographs throughout the day to capture you in your work and to get your portfolio started.  
  • Followed up with 2 x 30 minutes 'catch ups' to answer any questions or to provide a confidence boost.
We’ll evaluate your journey, provide feedback on your styling and discuss your progression in floral design. Remember we've been on this journey ourselves and we're always evolving. Its brilliant to share this with you!
 
What to bring with you!
We provide all the materials required for your session. Please wear casual clothing in layers as the room can vary in temperature. Stools are provided at each workbench but you may wish to stand so a sturdy, comfortable pair of shoes is essential.

Along the way we recommend taking notes, although we do have some notes provided for you to take away with you.

Light refreshments are provided over lunch and feel free to bring your own 'pack up'. We have a range of teas, ample coffee and fresh juice. If you have any allergies or specific dietary requirements please contact us to discuss further. 

We also offer a range of Floristry tools, sundries for sale onsite along with gift vouchers.
Classes are delivered within our workshop at home.
